When I came to create a documentary film about "Veleso", the company has just started rehearsing their new devised poetic show "Stepan Razin" about  Stenka Razin who was a Cossack leader, who led a major uprising against the nobility and tsarist bureaucracy in southern Russia in 1670–1671.

 It was an interesting and complicated experience, the relationship and work between artists in "Veleso" had an intimate and intense nature, I had to untangle those to find the truth of their ideas. "Veleso" is a film about freedom, and how difficult it is to find it for yourself and others.
